On All Saints' Day, November 1st, the Holy Father will be declared the 38th docotor of the Church.

Across all age groups, priests are strongly united in their pastoral priorities: forming youth and young adults, strengthening marriage and family life, evangelization, serving the poor, and defending the dignity of human life. The data also shows that younger priests demonstrate a strong adherence to orthodoxy and place increasing emphasis on Eucharistic devotion and reverent liturgy.

With great joy, we celebrate as five men answered the Lord’s call to serve His Church as permanent deacons.

Six new seminarians have entered formation for the Archdiocese of Portland, joined by two continuing in the propaedeutic stage. Having moved to new cities, they now begin a year of prayerful discernment. “These men give me great hope for the future of the Church!” said Fr. Peter Julia, Director of Vocations.
