For 100 years, St. Mary’s Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception has been a place of prayer and celebration for Catholics in Portland and all of western Oregon.

Dedicated to Mary under her title of the Immaculate Conception, patroness of the U.S., the Cathedral is the mother church of the Archdiocese of Portland in Oregon. It is a visible sign of our sure foundation in Christ and a focal point of unity for the Church’s mission of evangelization in this region.

Throughout its centennial year, you are invited to visit the Cathedral as a pilgrim, participate in sacred liturgies, receive a plenary indulgence, and celebrate our shared Catholic home in western Oregon.

Centennial Year: February 14, 2026 - February 14, 2027

We warmly invite you to visit the Cathedral as a pilgrim, learn its history, and receive a plenary indulgence, granted for the entire year by the Vatican through its designation as an official pilgrimage site. Free guided tours are available every Saturday from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM, from February 28, 2026 - February 6, 2027.
